I love when the things I’m doing to create a healthy mind align with the things I’m doing to create a healthy body! Here is today’s tip of the day ~ the key to maintaining a healthy weight is making the right choices the majority of the time and only indulging in “treats” now and then.
Being healthy shouldn’t be about deprivation, but being “happy” shouldn’t be about over indulging on a regular basis. The biggest challenge is that people who are trying to lose weight think that they can have “cheat days.”
I mean, seriously.
Do you think your boss would be ok if you went and worked at the competition one day a week? Do you think your spouse would be ok if every Friday night you got to hit the bars, picking up chicks?…assuming you aren’t in an open relationship…but that’s for another blog!
Bottom line, you have to listen to your body and understand what you need. You have to have clearly identify goals that are strong for you and develop an action plan for what is going to keep you moving towards those goals. I took some time this holiday weekend to work on my healthy mind, and read this in the Tao Of Pooh:
Those who know what’s wrong with them and take care of themselves accordingly will tend to live longer than those who consider themselves perfectly healthy and neglect their weaknesses.
See? This isn’t a new concept! Be in tune with your mind, body and soul! Now, time to focus on the healthy finances!
Still Time to Get Healthy For the Holidays
I’m participating in a nationwide challenge to reward behaviors that promote health. As many of you know – helping empower those that want to create optimal health is my passion and my business. I’m sending out invitations to the event challenge to my friends. Please share this event with your friends or anyone you know that might benefit from this fun venture. Thanks in advance!
