Asian Beef on a Stick


  • 1⁄4 c Scallion (chopped)
  • 2 T Soy Sauce (reduced sodium)
  • 1 T Ginger (fresh, minced)
  • 1 T rice wine vinegar
  • 2 t Sesame Oil
  • 1 t Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1⁄2 t pepper (Freshly ground black)
  • 1 clv Garlic (minced)
  • 12 oz Beef Loin (lean, cut into strips)


Serve these beef kabobs on a bed of shredded lettuce for a different dinner entree.Prepare grill for a hot fire, using direct method. If using wooden skewers, soak in water 30 minutes. Combine scallions, soy sauce, ginger, rice wine vinegar, oil, balsamic vinegar, pepper and garlic; add beef and marinate 15 minutes. Remove beef from marinade with tongs; discard any remaining marinade. On each of sixteen 6” metal or wooden skewers, thread 1 beef strip by piercing beef in several places. Grill kabobs 5 minutes, then turn and grill 5 minutes more.
