- 3⁄4 c Tomato (diced)
- 1⁄4 c Red Onion (diced)
- 1⁄4 c Cilantro (fresh, minced)
- 1 T Lime Juice (fresh)
- 1 t Jalapeno Pepper (minced, de-veined)
- 1⁄4 t pepper (freshly ground)
- 10 oz Ground Beef (extra lean)
- 1⁄2 t Cumin (ground)
- 1⁄2 t Onion Powder
- 12 t salt
Preheat grill. To prepare salsa, in medium bowl, combine tomato, onion, cilantro, juice, jalapeno pepper and black pepper; set aside. In large bowl, combine beef, cumin, onion powder and salt; form into 4 equal patties. Grill patties over hot coals (or place onto prepared rack in broiler pan and broil 4” from heat), turning once, 8 minutes, until beef is cooked through. Serve with salsa.
