Bar-be-cue Turkey Roast

  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 28 oz Turkey Breast Roast (boneless, skinless)
  • 1⁄4 t Garlic Powder
  • 1⁄4 t salt
  • 1⁄4 t pepper (ground black)
  • 1 t Olive Oil (extra virgin)
  • 4 t BBQ Sauce
  • 1⁄4 c Water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray non-stick cooking oil in small pan. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, bar-be-cue sauce, salt and pepper. With a fork, pierce each side of the turkey breast deeply, about 25 times. Drizzle on the oil and coat both sides of the turkey with the bar-be-cue rub, evenly. Place the turkey, smooth side up, in the pan. Pour water in the pan, but not over the turkey.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the juices run clear. Remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Place the turkey on a clean cutting board. Carve, against the grain, into thin slices. Serve immediately.

Tips: Keep track of your condiments, garnishes and veggies so that your total daily food intake stays compliant with the weight loss phase of the program.
